PADI Specialty Diving Courses

PADI Specialty courses are a great way to refine your skills with extra dives in a particular subject such as Wreck Diver or Night Diver. It defines the kind of diver you are. The more time you spend honing your skills and having fun underwater, the more opportunities you’ll have to make discoveries of your own.

PADI Specialty Diving Course - Deep Diving

S$250 (4 dives)

The Deep Diving course consists of four open water training dives and includes the following:

  • planning, organization, procedures, techniques, problems and hazards of deep diving
  • risk factors and decompression-tables review
  • safety stops and emergency decompression procedures
  • special equipment, descent lines and buoyancy-control considerations
  • procedures for flying after diving and high-altitude diving
  • orientation to recompression chambers

PADI Specialty Diving Course - Enriched Air (Nitrox)

S$250

The Enriched Air course consists two practical applications and theory. You will be:

  • Planning and making no decompression dives using primarily enriched air nitrox blends containing 22 to 40 percent oxygen, remaining within accepted dive table and oxygen exposure limits.
  • Obtaining and caring for equipment used in enriched air diving.
  • Analyzing enriched air nitrox, confirming cylinder markings and setting enriched air dive computers (if available).
  • Going through the process of obtaining enriched air from a blending facility, and getting a direct overview of how operations blend enriched air nitrox.
  • Managing and avoiding possible enriched air hazards.
  • Using and applying the benefits of enriched air for recreational diving.

PADI Specialty Diving Course - Night Diving

S$225 (3 dives)

The Night Diving course consists of three open water training dives and includes the following:

  • the planning, organization, procedures, techniques, problems and hazards of night diving
  • proper procedures for buoyancy control, navigation and communication
  • use of dive lights and buddy-system techniques
  • disorientation and emergency procedures
  • orientation to nocturnal aquatic life

PADI Specialty Diving Course - Multilevel Diver

S$200 (2 dives)

In this course, you learn how to plan dives that extend your bottom time by crediting you for slower nitrogen absorption when you ascend to a shallower depth. That’s the way you really dive, after all.

  • Plan and execute multilevel dives (different depths on the same dive)
  • Back up your dive computer and plan multilevel dives
  • Maximize your no stop time

PADI S0pecialty Diving Course - Peak Performance Buoyancy

S$200 (2 dives)

The Peak Performance Bouyancy course consists of two open water training dives and includes the following:

  • Peak Performance Buoyancy fundamentals: buoyancy check, fine-tuning buoyancy underwater, weight position and distribution, streamlining, and visualization.
  • use of PADI’s “Basic Weighting Guidelines.”
  • an opportunity to polish buoyancy control beyond the Open Water Diver level -
  • positioning and distributing weight for comfort and desired body position (trim in the water)
  • visualization techniques prior to dives
  • buoyancy checks
  • establishing neutral buoyancy during all segments of a dive
  • fine-tuning neutral buoyancy underwater
  • hovering

PADI Specialty Diving Course - Search and Recovery

S$250 (4 dives)

The Search and Recovery Diving course consists of four open water training dives and includes the following:

  • the planning, organization, procedures, techniques, problems, and hazards of search and recovery diving
  • limited-visibility diving and underwater navigation techniques
  • proper techniques and safety considerations for object location, including the use of various search patterns, lines and reels
  • proper techniques and safety considerations for recovery of objects using various lifting devices

PADI Specialty Diving Course - Digital Underwater Photography

S$250 (2 dives)

The Digital Underwater Photography course consists of two open water training dives and includes the following:

  • basic digital underwater photography
  • more advanced digital underwater photography and techniques
  • a workshop that includes use of computers for downloading, backing-up, sorting etc of digital images

PADI Specialty Diving Course - Underwater Naturalist

S$200 (2 dives)

The Digital Underwater Photography course consists of two open water training dives and includes the following:

  • The major aquatic life groupings, interactions and factual information that dispels negative myths.
  • The role of aquatic plants, food chains and predator prey relationships
  • Responsible interactions with aquatic life
  • The underwater naturalist’s view of organisms and their roles in the environment

PADI Specialty Diving Course - Wreck Diving

S$250 (4 dives)

The Wreck Diving course consists of four open water training dives and includes the following:

  • the planning, organization, procedures, techniques, problems and hazards of wreck diving
  • the preparation and use of lights, air supplies, special equipment, penetration lines and reels
  • limited-visibility diving techniques and emergency procedures
